SLIPPs TMG meeting Genova 7th & 8th March 2018.

SLIPPs TMG members were in Genova last week for a very productive 2 day meeting.

During the meetings the group we were shown the first two SLIPPs simulation scenario prototypes developed by the Sim Scenario sub-group, based on SLIPPs data and brilliantly performed, and reflected on, by University of Genova Nursing students.

The virtual seminars were discussed and planning for development of these was undertaken by the VS subgroup. The first seminar will emerge from the multiplier event in June.

Students from Lappeenranta University of Technology illustrated prototypes for the ‘teacher’ interface and the SLIPPS virtual learning center – both of which were excellent and the TMG look forward to putting them into action. It is clear that much work had been undertaken by all involved.

We also agreed our plan and timeline for analysis of the Learning Event records which will lead to: a statistical analysis of the data; an exciting and insightful multi-professional transnational thematic analysis; and 4 sub-studies investigating discreet questions relevant to patient safety education and learning.

Hosted by Prof. Loredana Sasso, Prof Annamaria Bagnasco and Dr Giuseppe Aleo the meetings were a great success, achieved much and helped us progress to another stage of this important project.

We look forward to meeting again at the SLIPPS multiplier event on the 7th June at Østfold University College in Norway – why not join us there?
