Gemma Wilson, PhD

Gemma Wilson, PhD, is senior research assistant at Northumbria University.  Gemma’s PhD thesis, published in 2014, is entitled ‘Exploring older adults with chronic pain; New insights with new technology’. This PhD was funded by the Life-Long Health and Well-Being programme (LLHW) which is led by the Medical Research Council. Gemma is a trainee Health Psychologist.  As Senior Research Assistant, Gemma has been involved in research focusing on: the use of innovative technologies in the healthcare setting, ageing, inter-professional working, veterans’ health and well-being, and health education. Gemma is a fellow of the HEA, graduate member of the British Psychological Society and member of the European Health Psychology Society.
